Moving Help Needed

Dear Friends,

God-willing, December 20th will be our first services in our new ministry center. (We have one final inspection to pass this coming Monday night before receiving occupancy, on Tuesday morning.)

That means we have 10 days starting today to move in so that we’re ready for the 20th. There is cleaning, organizing, assembling, and yes…moving…that needs to get done in this process.

So I’m personally asking for some extra special help the next couple days in this already busy time of year. I’m even asking that perhaps you might consider taking a day off of work, or a half-day, to come and help us in this unique season of our church’s history.

Here’s how you can help:

Friday, 12/11 at 7am: Cassy and I will be at Showtime Cinema to begin moving out all the supplies not needed for church this Sunday. A 26 ft moving truck will arrive at 7:30 am at Showtime. We would appreciate all the help we can get tomorrow morning any time after 7 am to move things into the truck. Afterwards, we’ll follow the truck to our storage unit on Hwy 100 and Layton, Cassy’s apartment, and the church parsonage to continue filling it will stuff that is being stored for our ministry center. I will personally buy lunch for all who can come and help tomorrow! We will be parking the truck at our ministry center in the parking lot over the weekend.

Sunday 12/13:  We want to fill the moving truck with any remaining things left at Showtime Cinema so that we are completely moved out on Sunday after the pageant. We need some help to do this.

Tuesday 12/15 at 7am: We will begin unloading the moving truck into the ministry center. We need help unloading the truck, putting things away, organizing, cleaning, doing some light furniture assembly, and basically just working with directions on where to put stuff. Any help Tuesday morning would be greatly appreciated. Lunch will be provided!

Tuesday 12/15 at 12pm: We need some strong people to follow the moving truck to Jeff and Nissa Guenther’s house in New Berlin to move all our office furniture. I expect this to take the entire afternoon and we really need at least 5-6 strong people to help but the more the merrier. I will be a part of this but I sure can’t do it alone. Meanwhile during Tuesday afternoon a crew can be at the ministry center helping to put away all the kids’ ministry things that we unloaded in the morning.

Tuesday-Friday: There will be lots to do as far as cleaning, organizing, and putting stuff away. Can you help for a morning, an afternoon, or an evening? Any help Tuesday-Friday would be huge. Kids are welcome. We’ve got the toddler room available with toys in the toddler corner. And if you’ve got some cleaning rags, Norwex cloths, etc those things could help. Reach out to Cassy and let her know when you can come if it’s just for an hour or two on one day.

Thursday morning, December 17th – is our Operation Jesus Cares Christmas Project with Christ-St Peter. We’ll take a break from working in Franklin to help our brothers and sisters on the southside from 8am - 12:30 pm. Remember to email Ryan Solie if you can help with this.

Prayer – Please pray for a successful final inspection on Monday evening as well as the Lord’s peace for everyone during this moving process. Please pray for safety and protection for all in the moving process. But also please pray that through it all God is glorified and our house of worship is made ready for the Gospel of our dear Savior to be shared this Christmas!

Please email me and/or Cassy if and when you can help at any time on any of these days so that we have a sense how many people we’ll have each day.

Thank you so much!!!

In Christ,

Pastor Ben
