Victory News - All Things New

Last Sunday at our new ministry center, so blessed!
Happy New Year! Sometimes though at the hinge point between another year gone by and a new year that’s before us it’s easy to feel weary of same old, same old, isn’t it? Same old job, same old stresses and pressures in life, same old personal struggles. But here’s the great thing… God’s blessings to us are new every morning!

As God grows us through word and sacrament, he promises that he will make us new, that he will give us new power, new hope, new love and new purpose so that our spirits are revived once again. That’s why this Sunday at our brand new ministry center in this brand new year we’re starting a series called All Things New.

Together we will marvel at the new things Jesus did in people's lives. We will also find new life, joy and excitement as we begin to see more clearly all the amazing things that Jesus continues to do in our lives. So even if you haven’t been in church for a while, please don’t let anything keep you away. A fresh start is always possible with Jesus!

“I am making everything new” (Revelation 21:5) – Jesus

And remember, we’re now in our newly completed ministry center located at 11120 W Loomis Rd in Franklin. That means our regular Sunday morning worship services and Victory Kids ministry also happen at our new ministry center every Sunday starting at 9 and 10:45 am.

Next Sunday, January 10th: 9 and 10:45 — Contractor Thank-You at each of our Sunday services. All our contractors and sub-contractors and their families are cordially invited to join us at either of our regular Sunday services.

Next Sunday January 10th: 2pm — Special Church Dedication Service. All are invited including all our members, attenders, family, friends, area WELS churches, Builders For Christ Volunteers, Kingdom Workers, and Our District Mission Board. Pastor Mark Wagner, chairman of our District Mission Board, will be our special guest preacher.

Special Choir — For our Dedication service next Sunday we would like to invite any interested members of our church to sing in a special one-time choir. We will be singing an SATB arrangement of “In Christ Alone”. Rehearsal will be Saturday, January 9th at 11 am at the ministry center. If interested please see Sarah Kuerth (the keyboardist) up by the stage after church to pick up music. Sarah can also email you part specific practice tracks. One of our founding members, Sharon Robbert, will be our special choir director for this occasion.

New Bible 101 Class Starting Soon! Bible 101 is the starting point in our church for anyone looking to learn more about God, anyone who wants to see for themselves what the Bible says, anyone who would like to receive the sacrament of holy communion, or anyone seeking membership in our church family.

It’s also a great refresher for anyone who’d like to review the Bible’s basic teachings.

No previous Bible knowledge needed or expected. All materials provided free of charge.

Here’s the scoop: “Mix and match” either Tuesday evenings and Saturday afternoons starting January 12th and 16th. Bible 101 is 4 lessons (4 weeks). After that Bible 201 begins which is 6 lessons (6 weeks). After that Bible 301 begins which is 8 lessons (8 weeks).

Tuesday evenings from 6:30-8:00 pm or Saturday afternoons from 1-2:30 pm.

Mix and match your Tuesdays and Saturdays...or come to both!

Please contact me to register.

Save the Date – Easter For Kids on March 12th, a special one day kids’ event to take place at our ministry center between 11am-3pm.

Save the Date – Community Grand Opening on March 20th at our Sunday morning services.

Service Livestreaming – Getting an internet connection extended to our site is challenging due to the permits needed to bury a wire under Loomis Rd. We hope to have this completed by the end of January. However this means that it’s kind of wait and see as far as being able to livestream our services depending on a cellular connection that we sometimes have until then. We’ll continue to do our best and let God take care of the rest!

Temporarily No Sunday Morning Bible Class – Stay tuned for info in the New Year about regular opportunities for Bible study at our new ministry center.

Sharing Christ’s Victory,

Pastor Ben
