Victory News - Dedication Sunday!

Nine years ago a little mission church started with less than nine people. We called it “Victory of the Lamb” because we wanted it to be all about Jesus. We’ve worshiped in a soccer club and a cinema. We’ve held Bible studies at a health club, a bank, restaurants, coffee shops, houses, apartments, condo association clubhouses, a warehouse and a computer software company conference room. We’ve held outreach events in local parks, at the library, and in parades. We’ve canvassed door to door, hung door hangers, mailed postcards, and invited family members, friends, and neighbors.

And this Sunday, by God's grace, we will be dedicating our brand new ministry center located along Loomis Rd to the glory of God in a special service at 2 pm in the afternoon!

All are invited to join us praising God—including our local area WELS congregations, our District Mission Board, Kingdom Workers, contractors and our many Builders For Christ volunteers, friends, and supporters who helped to build our building.

Pastor Mark Wagner, chairman of our District Mission Board, will be our special guest preacher. I’ll be reading Scripture and leading the service of dedication. Our Victory of the Lamb music team will lead the singing and our Victory Café will provide a ham sandwich luncheon for all who’d like to stay after the service and enjoy a time of food and fellowship.

Also special this Sunday is that at our morning services at 9 and 10:45 we are inviting all our contractors and their families to join us for a special thank-you, to see and celebrate the work they accomplished, and to get a taste of what goes on in our new building. Our project has truly been a team effort with the labor of many hands.

New Bible 101 Class Starting Next Week! Bible 101 is the starting point in our church for anyone looking to learn more about God, anyone who wants to see for themselves what the Bible says, anyone who would like to receive the sacrament of holy communion, or anyone seeking membership in our church family.

It’s also a great refresher for anyone who’d like to review the Bible’s basic teachings.

No previous Bible knowledge needed or expected. All materials provided free of charge.

Here’s the scoop: “Mix and match” either Tuesday evenings and Saturday afternoons starting January 12th and 16th. Bible 101 is 4 lessons (4 weeks). After that Bible 201 begins which is 6 lessons (6 weeks). After that Bible 301 begins which is 8 lessons (8 weeks).

Tuesday evenings from 6:30-8:00 pm or Saturday afternoons from 1-2:39 pm.

Mix and match your Tuesdays and Saturdays...or come to both!

Please contact me to register.

Teen Ministry Open Forum - On January 16th @ 4pm, we are inviting all young adults from 7th grade up to 12th grade and any adults interested in developing our Teen Ministry to a Teen Ministry Open Forum. The goal is to lay the foundation for a Teen Ministry to begin in February.  There are no geographic boundaries and VotL membership is not required. If you have any questions, concerns or can’t make the meeting but would like to be involved; please contact Jon Brown-Schmidt either by phone/text 414-531-3690 or via email.

Save the Date – Easter For Kids on March 12th, a special one day kids’ event to take place at our ministry center between 11am-3pm.

Save the Date – Community Grand Opening on March 20th at our Sunday morning services.

Service Livestreaming – Getting an internet connection extended to our site is challenging due to the permits needed to bury a wire under Loomis Rd. We hope to have this completed by the end of January. However this means that it’s kind of wait and see as far as being able to livestream our services depending on a cellular connection that we sometimes have until then. We’ll continue to do our best and let God take care of the rest!

Sharing Christ’s Victory,

Pastor Ben
