|Over 450 people celebrated Christ's victory with us on Easter Sunday...God be praised!|
All in all, despite Sarah and I both getting the respiratory version of influenza while down there, it was really great to get away and reconnect with classmates I haven’t seen in almost a decade—friends from all over the country and beyond. It’s amazing that this year marks ten years for me being a pastor, but by God’s grace I pray He’ll supply me with the strength to carry on for the next ten. God knows how much I need it because the number of new people the last couple weeks to follow up with is incredible!
In recounting among friends and former classmates the joys and sorrows of a decade of ministry, I was keenly reminded just how much credit and praise belongs to God for all the blessings I have experienced here as the pastor of our church—Victory of the Lamb. Our church is so special and unique. I’m also reminded of something I read a couple years ago: “We tend to overestimate what we can accomplish in a year, but we tend to underestimate what God can accomplish through us in ten.” To God be the glory!
There are a lot of new ministry opportunities coming up soon so please see below and check them out! I also look forward to continuing our “Greatness” series this coming Sunday based on Romans 8 and our gracious God. And as always, everyone is invited to join us for worship Sunday morning whether at 9 or 10:45. Victory Kids during both.

Victory Moms Group Starting – Thursday Morning Playgroup and Book Club
Are you a mom that’s new to church, new to motherhood, or just need to connect with other moms? We’d love to welcome you to a new small group opportunity for this season of motherhood. Let's make use of the awesome toddler room in our new ministry center by letting the kids play and "try" to gain strength from Him and each other by reading, sharing, and praying. We’ll meet Thursday mornings 9:30-11, starting April 14th. The first week will just be a casual meet & greet, where we’ll talk about ideas, and then the following week we’ll jump into “The Power of a Positive Mom,” by Karol Ladd. The book discussion will be very flexible and kid friendly, so if you don’t have time to read the book each week, no worries! We’ll still have plenty to discuss. No homework, no shower, just show up and we'll put a mug of hot coffee in your hands (or iced if the weather ever warms up!).
Scripture Storytelling - Sunday, April 24, 6:30pm – Invite your friends to join you for this inspirational event. The storytelling will begin at 6:30pm and will last about an hour with refreshments to follow.
